Mutt has built-in, powerful regex search but I sought something more intuitive – I could never remember the arcane syntax for it to be timely but I didn’t want to bother with a cumbersome GUI for searching and indexing. Still, I found search functionality lacking compared to Thunderbird or other GUI clients.
